Well...there is SO much to say about this wedding!! First of all, Kayce and Matt found us through a mutual friend (also former client) who's wedding we photographed a couple of years ago in Kennebunkport, ME. Referrals are like gold to a small business and we were thrilled that Kayce and Matt booked us. Their wedding was at Castle Hill Inn in Newport, RI - it was our first wedding in Newport and we LOVED it there. It's an amazing place, filled with beautiful mansions and equally beautiful beaches and ocean views.
Our day started out at the homes that both Kayce's and Matt's families rented. It was so fun to be around (and photograph!) all the chaos that unfolds before the ceremony. Then we were off to the gorgeous Our Lady of Mercy Chapel located on the campus of Salve Regina. The church is one of the most unique we've seen - it was built in the shape of a boat. It was a laughter filled ceremony and honestly it was difficult to keep my camera steady while giggling :) Then we all strolled next door to the Ochre Court (which is a mini-mansion that is incredible!). We photographed the families and bridal party shots there and then started our ride up to the inn. Along our route, we pulled over to grab a few shots with that beautful ocean as the backdrop. The Castle Hill Inn is such a wonderful venue. One of their "perks" is they have a cool lighthouse on their property that can be used for photos. We took a short golf cart ride over to the lighthouse with just Kayce and Matt and made some beautiful portraits of them.
The photos of the reception speak for themselves - the decor was over the top gorgeous and the party was crazy fun!! Hope you enjoy looking at this wedding as much as we loved photographing it.
