A beautiful Maine wedding on Peaks Island photographed by Maine Wedding Photographers Freestyle Weddings
Katelyn and Stephen were high school sweethearts. They met in middle school, started dating in high school, and after a brief breakup for a few years, circled back to each other again. For their wedding, they knew they wanted to be in Maine, and celebrate on Peak’s Island at The Inn on Peak’s Island. If you've never been to Peaks Island, or to any of the sister islands that are scattered off the coast of Portland you are missing out. You can take the Casco Bay ferry to any of the islands - Peaks is a quick ten minute ride! Once you're there, you can walk up the hill to the inn and have lunch, or rent a golf cart and see the sites around the island for the day. So fun!
To explain all of the personalized touches that went into this wedding would require an additional blog post of it’s own. I was blown away by the all of the little things like the adorable red boat used during cocktail hour for their raw bar - it was made by Kate’s father as a wedding gift to them, the amazing barn doors that stood at the beginning of the aisle for the bridal party and bride to walk through on their way to the ceremony, all of the detailed custom signage throughout the property and in the reception room, and so many more things that are to numerous to write down. The amount of thought put into this wedding was only topped by the amount of happiness and love shown on this day by Katelyn and Stephen and their incredibly sweet family and friends. I am so excited to share these favorites from this simply stunning wedding day.
